WETLANDS
WETLANDS, is the premier journal of the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS).
WETLANDS is an international journal concerned with all aspects of wetlands biology, ecology, hydrology, water chemistry, soil and sediment characteristics, management, education, legislation, cultural, sociology, and regulations. The journal's goal is centralizing the publication of pioneering wetlands work that has never been done or otherwise been spread among a myriad of journals. Because wetlands research crosses a wide range of disciplines, the journal is not restricted to specific subjects, but presents manuscripts reporting research results and ideas from all relevant disciplines. Wetlands offers only the highest quality peer-reviewed material.
WETLANDS publishes various article types, including original research and reviews. Reviews that potentially appeal to the widest audience and are in-depth and over-arching in the fields of wetland science and management may be considered as Mark Brinson Reviews. All contributions to WETLANDS are also published in a wide range of Topical Collections. Authors are requested to select the Topical Collection that best fits their work by choosing the appropriate Topical Collection when submitting a manuscript. Please check the Journal Updates for detailed descriptions of each collection.
Articles are collected together under topics such as Ramsar, Wetland Restoration, Wetland Animals, Wetland Biogeochemistry, Applied Wetland Science, and Wetlands and Indigenous People. There are now 28 such Topical Collections.

Wetland Science and Practice (WSP)
Wetland Science and Practice (WSP) is the Society of Wetland Scientists' quarterly full-color e-publication aimed at providing: 1) information on select SWS activities (technical committee summaries, chapter workshop overview/abstracts, and SWS-funded student activities), 2) articles on research, ecology, restoration, management, and conservation of wetlands as well as education and outreach activities, and 3) current events involving wetlands (“Wetlands in the News” – links to online articles about wetlands around the globe). WSP also maintains a listing of recent and newly released books on wetlands in “Wetland Bookshelf.” From time to time, a section entitled “Notes from the Field” presents information on the natural history of wetlands in a particular location. This section includes high-quality color images of wetlands, their plant life and/or wildlife. The publication also serves as an outlet for commentaries, perspectives and opinions on important developments in wetland science, theory, management and policy. The July issue is typically dedicated to presenting abstracts from SWS’s annual conference.
Articles covering a wide range of topics (including contributions for “Notes from the Field”) are welcomed. Submitted manuscripts are typically unsolicited. They are reviewed by the WSP editor for suitability for publication. Articles dealing with more technical aspects are typically sent out for peer review. Authors are encouraged to perform internal peer review before submission to WSP. Student papers are welcomed.

Estuaries and Coasts
Estuaries and Coasts is the journal of the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation. The journal features original research on the hydrodynamics, hydrology, (geo)chemistry, geology, biology and their interactions in marine waters influenced by connectivity to land. The journal's geographic scope includes coastal watersheds, tidal rivers, estuaries, lagoons, inland seas, wetlands, and near-shore coastal waters from polar to equatorial latitudes. The editors encourage submissions that present novel approaches, findings or concepts of general interest to better understand the functioning and structure of coastal systems and will interest the journal's increasingly international readership. Submissions that are primarily descriptive, strongly place based, or report on development of models or new methods without detailing their applications fall outside the scope of the journal. Access to Estuaries and Coasts is a benefit for members only. Log in to read Estuaries and Coasts.
Wetlands Ecology and Management
Wetlands Ecology and Management is an international journal that publishes authoritative and original refereed articles on topics relevant to freshwater, brackish and marine coastal wetland ecosystems. The journal serves as a multi- and interdisciplinary forum for key issues in wetlands science, management, policy and economics. Wetlands Ecology and Management encourages the exchange of information between environmental managers, pure and applied scientists, and national and international authorities on wetlands science, policy and ecological economics. The journal's unique Wetlands Management website provides free access to recent papers on the issues, methods and impacts of wetlands management, a particularly valuable resource for those involved in resource management and applied research. Besides original research papers, discussion papers and short reports, the journal occasionally includes invited review papers on topical subjects.
