Reflecting on Earth Day

bird-5058753

As we reflect on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the Society of Wetland Scientists recognizes the importance of wetlands to the future of the Earth. Healthy wetlands provide essential ecosystem services and support a high proportion of the rich biodiversity that is fundamental to the healthy functioning of the planet. With the dual challenges of climate destabilization and unprecedented biodiversity loss, our work as wetland scientists is more critical than ever. Given our international reach, we will lead the charge to improve the health of wetland systems worldwide. We will continue forming strong partnerships; educating the next generation of wetland scientists, educators, regulators and practitioners; conducting groundbreaking research; developing wetlands-related policy; and contributing to countless wetland restoration, protection, and creation projects.

Thank you to all of our members, including students (our future) and emeritus members (our knowledge library) for your contributions to wetland science and our Society.

Thank you for building the Society of Wetland Scientists into the leading organization that it is today. Happy Earth Day!
Our work is making a big splash!

The actual importance and significance of the wetlands for the betterment of our earth can never be neglected. I want to hire university assignment help to complete my work online. We should realize the true significance of wetlands by conducting more researches on this topic.
